Starting prices in US dollars. Schedules are indicative: the final price, milestones and dates are set in a written scope before work starts.

02Before a build

Product Clarity Review, from $350.

When you want an expert read before deciding what to build, fix or drop, and with whom.

  • A review of what exists: idea, prototype, live product or website
  • A written recommendation: what to build, fix or drop first
  • A suggested package and scope, if building makes sense

Not included: building or fixing anything (that is a separate engagement).

Want an expert read first?

A bounded assessment of your idea, prototype, product or site, with a written recommendation.

From $350 · Your first enquiry is always free. The review is a separate, paid, written piece of work.

03How it works

What you agree before anything starts.

Proposed standard terms. The signed agreement for each project governs, and may differ where the work needs it.

From enquiry to written scope

Your first note is free. If the work looks like a fit, Mojeeb replies with questions, then a written scope: deliverables, price, milestones, indicative dates and what is excluded. Nothing is booked or paid until you accept it.

What the price covers

A starting price covers the package's listed inclusions at their smallest sensible size. More journeys, roles, pages or integrations raise the price, and the scope says by how much before you agree.

Payments and milestones

Builds are paid in stages tied to milestones in the scope. Retainers are paid monthly, in advance.

  • Launch and Spark50% to start, 50% at the agreed delivery milestone.
  • Ship and Forge50% to start, 30% at the build milestone, 20% on acceptance.
  • Care and EvolveMonthly, in advance.
  • Product Clarity ReviewConfirmed when the review is booked.
Schedules

Schedules are indicative. They start once the scope is agreed and the materials it lists (copy, access, accounts) are ready, and they move if either side needs more time. The scope sets the milestone dates.

Revisions

Each milestone has a review, and feedback on the agreed work is part of the build. The number of review rounds is set in the scope. Requests for something the scope doesn't include are scope changes.

Code and ownership

Once the project is paid in full, the code written for it is yours, deployed in accounts you control, with access and documentation handed over. Open-source libraries and third-party services keep their own licences.

Third-party costs

Hosting, domains, paid APIs, AI model usage, email services, app-store fees and similar costs are billed to you by the provider. They are not part of the package price; the scope estimates them where it can.

Scope changes

New requests during a build are written up with their effect on price and schedule. You choose to add them, swap them for something already in scope, or leave them for later.

Defects and features

A defect is delivered work that doesn't do what the scope describes, and it is fixed without charge for the period the agreement sets. A feature is anything the scope didn't include: it is quoted, or planned into Evolve.

Maintenance

Care and Evolve are planned monthly hours, not an on-call service. Work beyond the month's hours is quoted before it starts. Notice to end a retainer is set in the agreement.

04Choosing a partner

Not sure which way to build?

Compare working with an independent freelancer, a traditional agency, an in-house team, or BlindspotLab. Understand the trade-offs before committing to your next build.

05Questions

About pricing.

Why starting prices rather than fixed prices?

Two products in the same package can differ a lot in size. The starting price is the smallest sensible version of the package; the written scope fixes the actual price before any work starts, and it doesn't change unless you agree a scope change.

My project doesn't fit a package. Can you still help?

Often, yes. The packages describe the common shapes of work. Describe yours in a free first note and Mojeeb will say which package it is closest to, what a scope would include, or whether someone else would serve it better.

Should I hire a freelancer, an agency or a studio?

It depends on the project, the budget and who will run the product afterwards. Compare freelancers, agencies, in-house teams and BlindspotLab, including when BlindspotLab isn't the right choice.

What's the difference between a free enquiry and the Clarity Review?

The first enquiry is a conversation: you describe the work and get an honest reply, at no cost. The Product Clarity Review is a separate, paid piece of work (from $350): a review of what exists and a written recommendation you keep, whoever builds it.

Are hosting and other running costs included?

No. Hosting, domains, paid APIs, AI model usage and similar services are billed to you by the provider, in your own accounts. The scope estimates them where it can, so they aren't a surprise.
